hola hola mis queridos….

sorry bout not writing the last week…but anyways.

so today was a successful PDAY.
hermana quin and i with the sisters in LA went to the Distributiion Center and then to MetroCentral.
we actually got to see some missionaries from the south mission bc the mall atually isnt in our mission…..therefore, we have to ask permission to go.
mentrocentral is the mall here in managua if i havent told yall before.
so im pretty sure you guys want to know what i bought so here it is:
crayons for mis escrituras
oil for my dry crispy hair.
a filer for papers
doctrine and covenants movie and more
a panini that was to die for..

so in nicaragua we use the term FACHENTA when someone is banking or has a lot of money.
hermana quin and hermana najarro said i was fachenta bc i spent 40 american dollars today…
i just laughed…. compared to cordobas here, american money is worth a lot, which is good for me. hah

we also passed by the nike store and i just licked up the drool from my mouth and kept walking…
oh how i miss cute work out clothes…

so the best part of all of this was the panini! i mean i just about swallowed it in just one bite…
anything besides rice, gallo pinto, tortilla, and chicken would be nice.
i am just about to die for a JAMBA JUICE….please someone send me one…but really. hah.

anyways, i have been thinking a lot about christ for the past month and i want to share something that hermana miller said. it really hurt my heart but made me want to be better.
sometimes i think i am giving a lot to the lord, but when i read these scriptures, i come to the hard truth that i will never give enough. i will never be able to pay back what christ did for me.

MATTHEW 26:35-41

¶Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place calledaGethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and bpray yonder.

37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, andabegan to be sorrowful and very heavy.

38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is aexceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and bwatch with me.

39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and aprayed, saying, O my bFather, if it be possible, let this ccup pass from me: nevertheless not as I dwill, but as ethou fwilt.

40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them aasleep, and saith unto Peter, What, bcould ye not watch with me one hour?

41 aWatch and bpray, that ye enter not into ctemptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

as hermana miller read this scripture i could literally just feel the spirit in the room with every fiber of my being. she read it slowly and carefully.

this scripture talks about when Christ went to the Garden of Gethsemane to suffer for the sins of the world…even bleed from every pour.
i want to highlight the verse where he says:

What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

sometimes we forget that Christ asks such little of us. He payed for all our sins and only asks us to watch with him. Here he only asks the apostles to give ONE hour of their time to sit watch and they failed.
i came to these questions:

how much time do we give to the Lord?
Are we so caught up in the world that we cannot give the lord some of our time?

we might be tired or exhausted but at the exact time when the apostles were exhausted, the lord was bleeding from every pour..suffering for the sins, feeling their temptations, their weaknesses, their trials. EVERYTHING.

so i ask each one of you to think the next time you are too tired to pray, too exhausted to go to church, too hungry to go to every class on sunday, too busy to help in the Work of Salvation, and too caught up in the world to see what truly matters, to think about this story. think about your Savior Jesus Christ. He gave his life for us. He gave everything for us and all he wants us to do is watch for Him. Watch with him.

i know that if we have Christ as our foundation and as our rock in life, we will be happy! we will have peace!
WE WILL NOT FAIL if we are faithful and follow Christ.
that is a promise to ALL.

i know that this life is a time to prepare to meet God.
just thinking about this i cant help but see all the things that really dont matter.
this life is so short compared to eternity.
but this life determines our eternity.
happiness of the world will not bring us happiness in the life to come.
but happiness in the world. the happiness that the gospel brrings us in a corrupt world will bring us happiness in the life to come.

20 I say unto you, my brethren, that if you should render all theathanks and bpraise which your whole soul has power to possess, to that God who has created you, and has kept and cpreserved you, and has caused that ye should drejoice, and has granted that ye should live in peace one with another—

21 I say unto you that if ye should aserve him who has created you from the beginning, and is bpreserving you from day to day, by lending you cbreath, that ye may live and move and do according to your own dwill, and even supporting you from one moment to another—I say, if ye should serve him with all your ewhole souls yet ye would be funprofitable servants.

22 And behold, all that he arequires of you is to bkeep his commandments; and he has cpromised you that if ye would keep his commandments ye should prosper in the land; and he never doth dvary from that which he hath said; therefore, if ye do ekeephis fcommandments he doth bless you and prosper you.

23 And now, in the first place, he hath created you, and granted unto you your lives, for which ye are indebted unto him.

24 And secondly, he doth arequire that ye should do as he hath commanded you; for which if ye do, he doth immediately bblessyou; and therefore he hath paid you. And ye are still indebted unto him, and are, and will be, forever and ever; therefore, of what have ye to boast?

25 And now I ask, can ye say aught of yourselves? I answer you, Nay. Ye cannot say that ye are even as much as the dust of the earth; yet ye were acreated of the bdust of the earth; but behold, itcbelongeth to him who created you.

26 And I, even I, whom ye call your king, am ano better than ye yourselves are; for I am also of the dust. And ye behold that I am old, and am about to yield up this mortal frame to its mother earth.
